  1. Write. That’s what you came here for. You might as well go all out. Give out your best pieces, and make them impactful.
  2. Stay Consistent. Consistency isn’t writing every day so don’t break your back while at it. Have a schedule perhaps twice or thrice a week. I’ve observed the best days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Any day is still okay.
  3. Engage. Take the saying, “no man is an island” to heart. Read, clap, and comment. Join Mastodon Medium’s decentralized social media if you must. And communicate with other writers.
  4. Take It Slow. Writing on Medium isn’t a race, find your pace and go with it. Keep in mind your goals, and strive at that. Growth comes to each writer at different intervals. Remember the saying, “You still make it to your destination even if you go slow.”
  5. Tags Matter. Tags to your articles matter, so pick 5 tags that best describe your piece. Make sure to use at least 2 tags with less following.
  6. Titles Matter Much More than You Think. Your article’s title is important, do not take it for granted. A good title is what stands between your article and the reader. Give the reader a reason to click and deliver on the title. Think about why you click on this article.
  7. Images Matter Too. Add an image to your article it helps draw your readers into the article. Do not downplay the power of a great visual.
  8. Use Publications. Publications on Medium house articles from many writers. Use them to reach your audience. There are lots of publications on Medium.com for specific topics. Explore as many as you can. For love related articles, publish with love related publications. Also, for money related articles, publish with love money related publications. Remember you can always self-publish if you feel like it.
  9. Be Creative. Medium is a creative platform. A great many readers enjoy creativity and a new point-of-view, so allow your creativity to flow. Took a look at this article’s head image?
  10. Be Authentic. Stand out, let your writing be different and showcase who you are. Remember, if you don’t stand out from the crowd you risk…
